Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice, cooked
- 1 onion ,thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp split black lentil
- 1 tsp whole jeera
- 2-3 dried red chillies (or as per taste)
- 1 tbsp bengal gram (channa dal)
- pinch of turmeric powder
- few sprigs of curry leaves
- 2-3 tsp of oil
- salt to taste
Method
Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds,jeera, curry leaves and green chillies. Fry till the spluttering stops and add the black lentil and channa dal. Fry for another minute. Then add onion and fry for couple a minutes.Add the turmeric powder and turn off the fire.
Add the lemon juice and mix well.
Add the rice and salt to taste and mix thoroughly.
Serve with hot.
