Neytholi Thoran

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup neytholi fish
  • 1/2 cup Coconut 
  •  2 or 3 nos Green chili
  • some curry leaves
  •  1 clove Garlic  ( chopped)
  • 1 pinch Cumin seeds 
  • 2 pinch Turmeric powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Chilly Powder
  • 1 teaspoonCoriander powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • ½ cup small onion(chopped )
  • 2-3 tsp Oil
  • Salt to taste


Preparation:
Clean the fish ie. Cut off or pinch off the head, tail and remove inner side’s bones then keep aside to drain the water.
 Crush coconut, garlic, turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, green chilly and cumin seeds. (same as thorans)
 Heat a pan with oil and splutter mustard seeds. And then add chopped small onion and saute until ¾ done and then add neytholi , salt, curry leaves  and cook covered for about 3 minutes with out water as the fish itself produce water.
 Then open the lid and saute the mix until all most the water evaporates then add the crushed mix then again saute for few minutes until all the water content evaporate completely.
Netholi thoran is ready to eat....it goes well with rice....
