Ragi Halwa




Ingredients





  • 1 cup Ragi  
  • 3/4 cup Sugar 
  • 1/2 cup Coconut 
  • 1 tblsp Ghee 
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder 
  • 1/4 tsp salt 





Method:

Soak ragi in hot water for 3 hours. Strain water and grind Ragi and Cocunut to a smooth paste. Sprinkle warm water while grinding.Strain through a fine sieve and cook in a heavy kadai, stirring constantly till it becomes thick and transparent.
Add sugar, keep stirring till it is dissolved.Add ghee, cardamom powder and mix well.
When halwa consistency is reached, remove from fire and pour on a greased plate.
Allow to cool and cut into desired shapes.
